~Synopsis~
Outside of Titan Group, there are few
people that Roman Hart would die for. He’s a soldier, a protector, and he’s
haunted that one of the people he should’ve been able to protect didn’t let
him. That was years ago, and now a hardened heart and a cocky attitude are his
impenetrable shields, until one woman—one challenge—drives
him to distraction.
On the outside, Beth Tourne has it
all. Luxury car, gorgeous condo, and a job partying with the rich and famous.
It’s a plush CIA cover, but she wants more. Anything for an adrenaline rush
that can override her guilty numbness and let her forget the tragedy she never
saw coming.
Their scars make them perfect
operatives. Their mirrored pasts give them deep, wounded reasons to stay alone.
But the more they ignore the tension, the more vulnerable they become. Survival
means trust. In one another, behind closed doors, and on the job. The only way
they’re making it out alive is if they find peace while waging a war.

~Review~
I absolutely fell in love with
Cristin Harber’s writing once I got done with reading “Hart Attack.” Not only
that but I fell in love with Roman and Beth’s story. I love a well written love
story that will leave me with a smile on my face and Cristin gave me just that.
In “Hart Attack” we get to see Beth
who’s a CIA agent try her best to live a life that so not her. After something
tragic happen to her she turned into this person that wasn’t her at all. She
never lived outside of the book, she was so fearful of love and that fear
caused her to reject Roman over and over again. But we all know that we could
push love away for so long. Deep down she wanted to build something with him
but his job made her fear for him because he part of “Titan” a special ops
team. Then we have Roman, oh boy Roman. He’s also kept love at bay, because
just like Beth he suffered a lost, a lost that was a lie but he could never get
over a hurt like that until Beth. Deep down both Beth and Roman wanted
something more than a friendship, they wanted something intimate. Like I said
in the end you can do all you want but love will always conquer all.
In the end, we get to see two souls
that was hurting come together and accept the fact that they were meant to be
together and not to fight it anymore. Then we have the suspense and action.
Some parts of the book will make you believe that you’re watching an action
movie. I loved every single minute of this book. Thank you so much Cristin for
sharing Beth and Roman’s story with us and I cannot wait to find out what else
you have in store for us readers.
