First and foremost I would like to say how much I love,
love Nicole’s writing. OMG her books will have you feeling so damn connected to
the characters, you will feel like you would want to play a role in her books.
Because that’s how devoted you will be to her stories and the characters that
she have created, and what a creation they are. The first time I read one of
her books was when I read “Temptation” and let me tell she have changed my few
point when it came to stories because right then and there was when I read my
first m/m story, yes it’s fully that but that was the very first time I read
anything like it and I fell in love with the genre then and there. And then I
was introduced to “The Walkers”. Damn I love those men, every single one of
them are just the epitome of southern hospitality. You will want to be a part
of their family; even though they’re not real you will want her to infuse into
the book. She gave us Kaleb, Zane, Travis and then Ethan, now I had the esteem
pleasure if reviewing Braydon’s story before the rest of the world, and let me
tell you, what an honor it was to do so, because like I said before, I just
love the way she presents this family to us.
Now let me get into what Braydon did to me and how
Nicole delivered a well written story to us. She gave us the emotions that we
love so much. We have Braydon and Brendon who are so used to doing everything
together and be everything I mean everything. But something happens when Jess
gets introduced in the mix because what was supposed to be an only sex thing
turns into Braydon and Brendon developing feelings for each other. My heart
literally bled for Brendon a little, he was so damn broken so damn stubborn. I mean
how you can fight your feelings; it only causes more destruction and pain. And
that is what we got to witness. There’s this one part where he was expressing
himself to Braydon and I must have shed a tear or five. Then we see Jess
struggle with her feelings for Braydon because of what she went through in the
past, but in the end, like I always say, love conquers all. We can never out
run it; we can never out a timetable on it, when it seeks you out and it have
true just answered it. I just love Lorrie and Curtis Walker, they’re just great
parents who support their boys and have their backs, but if they’re acting a
fool they will set them straight. And the respect they show their parents are
just awesome.
You know a Nicole Edwards isn’t a Nicole Edwards book
without the hot steamy sex scenes. Boy they always and I mean always set my
soul on fire. I mean I was flushed when I read one of the sex scenes. I love
that she gives us copious details; I love copious details when I comes to a sex
scenes. I want to picture everything in my mind because I am a very visual
person. I cannot wait to find out which Walker is next, Brendon maybe Sawyer.
