When
I read “Ten Year Crush” by Toshia Slade I knew there would be a back story for
Tiffany and Josh. I loved Gabby and Cam’s story because it was friends becoming
lovers and I always love a great friend to lover’s story, and Toshia told it
very well. But, Tiffany and Josh’s story wasn’t so easily executed. Nope, they
had a lot of obstacles to overcome, well more like Tiff had a lot of obstacles
to overcome and boy they were hefty obstacles. I love the emotions that Toshia
poured out for all the readers to see, and let me tell you Tiff and Josh will
have your heart hurting. We have Tiff who’s young and wants to just have fun
she doesn’t want to settle down but deep down she’s have this crush on Josh but
didn’t know how to reciprocate it. Then we have Josh, he’s level headed knows
what he wants out of life, actually he has his life set for him and he too have
a crush on Tiff but unlike Tiff, Josh wants to build something with her. From
there we get to see them try to build a relationship with each, but some
drastic happen to Tiff and she starts to question the whole meaning of love and
trust. We get to see her try her best to overcome something so overwhelming
that not only does it affect her mentally it affected her physically. My heart
went out to Josh, I love the fact that he did fight for Tiff but when you don’t
have the other person fighting for you it can become a hurtful situation. All I
have to say is this book will leave you with a wonderful smile on your face, I
just love me a wonderfully written HEA and Toshia gave us readers just what we
look for in a love story. You laugh and you will cry, I enjoyed every single
minute of this book and I didn’t want it to end.

looking at me like that and I’ll be needing those hand cuffs.” His breath hot
against my neck sends chills racing down my spine.
Shit. Fuck. Shit. Think fast Johnson! My heart pounds and a new pulse point has taken residence between my legs. What I wouldn’t give to squeeze my legs together to ease the burning ache.
I walk my fingers up his chest, taking in the feel of the hard muscles beneath them, and sucking down the moan begging for release. Laying my hand flat between his pecs, I give him a shove back. Schooling my features and hoping like hell the lust isn’t shining through in my eyes.
“Keep dreaming, magic. I was lost in Channing’s ‘Trick Pony’ dance. Learn moves like that…” I lean forward and get eye to eye with him. I know I’m playing with fire, but he pushes all of my buttons and I can’t stop myself. “You can do more than use the handcuffs.”
He leans down brushing his lips against the shell of my ear. "Oh, Kitten. You have no idea what moves I’ve got." A shiver races through my body and moisture pools between my legs.
Mayday, mayday. Retreat. Time to put the brakes on and pull out the bitch.

Toshia
resides in Nicholasville, Kentucky with her husband, son, a dog, and a cat.
Growing up in the small area known as Poosey she was a tom-boy and country girl
at heart. At nineteen she married her husband, and then at twenty-one was
blessed with a beautiful baby boy. She's been a stay-at-home mom since he was
born, enjoying watching her son grow up.
Now, five years later, she is an avid reader and known in the book world as a reviewer. She is currently running a group for another author on Facebook. It was there, in that group, that she found the strength and courage to write her own book. Always having a love for writing, she finally said. "I can do this, I can write my own book and share the stories that are in my head." She's gearing up to release her first book Ten Year Crush.
