~Synopsis~
Hard Ink Tattoo owner Jeremy Rixey
has taken on his brother’s stateside fight against the forces that nearly
killed Nick and his Special Forces team a year before. Now, Jeremy’s whole
world has been turned upside down—not the least of which by a brilliant, quiet
blond man who tempts Jeremy to settle down for the first time ever.
Recent kidnapping victim Charlie Merritt has always been better
with computers than people, so when he’s drawn into the SF team’s investigation
of his army colonel father’s corruption, he’s surprised to find acceptance and
friendship—especially since his father never accepted who Charlie was. Even
more surprising is the heated tension Charlie feels with sexy, tattooed Jeremy,
Charlie’s opposite in almost every way.
With tragedy and chaos all around them, temptation flashes hot,
and Jeremy and Charlie can’t help but wonder why they’re trying so hard to be
good...

~Review~
Hard
to be Good was sexy, funny, sweet and right to the point. I enjoyed Jeremy and
Charlie’s story so damn much. I love Jeremy’s easy going persona, and the fact
that he is open about who is and he isn’t afraid to express himself. Oh how I
love the fact that he has no “brain to mouth” filter. Then we have Charlie, he
is so damn shy and I really think that Jeremy was who he needed in order to
stop worrying about the doubts that his father put in his mind. Laura did a
wonderful with their story that I wish it was a full novel instead of a
novella. I love a damn good m/m read and that was what I got from her. Laura writes
some damn good sex scenes I tell you, Jeremy and Charlie steamed up my e-reader
device. Jeremy with his free going self was able to make Charlie show a
different side of him. To see these two characters finally succumb to the fact
that they cannot hide their emotions anymore it was so beautiful to see it
unfold. Also, I got the comedy that I always look for when I read one of the “Hard
Ink” books; it is going to be a bitter sweet day when I get to read Kat and
Murda’s book because I know it will be the final book in the series.
