Marlene Parker thought she met her soul mate at eighteen but
when he left her pregnant and alone to pursue a life of rock n roll, she vowed
to never love again. Now four years later, she is being offered the dream of a
lifetime. Moving to France with her daughter to start anew. There is only one
problem. Marlene’s formative ex is back in town, and his pull is strong as
Luke Anderson has everything a man could want. Fame, fortune
and enough beautiful women to last him a lifetime. That is until a young
runaway shows him what is truly important. Family. A word in which plagues Luke
with regret. As a scared twenty two year old he ran away from the love of his
life and their unborn child. Now ready to reverse his biggest regret with only
three days to do it, Luke’s fate hangs in the balance. The question is, will he
be able to convince Marlene their love story deserves a second chance?
Luke worked his fingers into my hair and tilted my head
back. He placed small kisses down along my neck to the hollow of my throat. I
closed my eyes, savoring the feel of his mouth on my skin.
“You smell like cinnamon.” He gently nipped my shoulder.
“And you taste like vanilla. You are a God damn walking dessert.”
A small laugh turned into a moan as his thumb brushed my
nipple. Heat pooled in my lower stomach. I tugged at his shirt, desperate to
get it off him. There were too many clothes separating us.
Luke stilled my hand. “No, wait.”
I glanced up at him. Last I remembered, you didn’t wear
clothes during sex. “No?”
My head grew dizzy with the smell of pure male as his lips
grazed my ear. “I want to take things slow.” He unbuttoned my jeans and dragged
down the zipper. When he caught sight of the bright pink hearts on my thong, a
slow grin spread across his face. “There’s nothing sexier than a woman in
Capturing my mouth with his, he backed me up against the
wall. Every nerve ending in my body screamed for release. I titled my hips into
his hardness, eliciting a groan from both our lips.
“Luke, please,” I begged. “I need you inside me.”
Love of a Rock Star is not your typical rock star romance it is about family and what matters in the end. I pulled into this story from the very beginning, all because of Nil. Oh let me tell you put a cute kid in a book and I will fall in love with have more than my undivided attention. In this story we have Marlene who’s left to raise her daughter Nil while her father is off being a rock star but what she doesn’t realize is that the celebrity life isn’t one to brag about, Marlene has to figure out if she’s willing to let Luke in and allow Nil to build a relationship with her father. Even though I would choose a different ending for this book, all in all it delivered a very well thought out story, I just wish I didn’t feel like the ending was being rushed, I think there could’ve been a little bit more to add to it. The huge view that it played on family and the fact the every one deserved a second chance because sometimes we tend to see things we want to be the most positive thing I got from the book. Thank for sharing this story with us, your readers, Nicole, I look forward to more of your books in the future.
