Schizoaffective disorder: a mental
illness in which a person experiences a combination of mood disorder and
schizophrenia symptoms.
I know
about this illness—very well—because I suffer from it. It’s been four years
since my diagnosis, and ever since, I’ve been living in a dark hole. Voices
constantly invading my thoughts. Hallucinations. All of which force me to
question if what I’m experiencing is even reality.
But here
I am, still hanging on, still breathing and living through it.
That is,
until he stumbled into my life. Logan Reed. I don’t want any part of him. I’ve
pushed him away, but he isn’t easily deterred. I’ve told him I’m different, but
he doesn’t care. He’s trying to slowly break me down. I’m trying just as hard
not to let him. He doesn’t know how truly damaged I am; what will happen when
he does?
I know
the truth—he’ll never be able to look at me the same way again. Just like
everybody else.

~Review~
Once in a while a book comes a long that have the
tendency to leave you so speechless, it will leave you feeling all out of
source, in a good way that it, E.L. Montes have won me as a fan with “Perfectly
Damaged.” This book brought fourth every emotion inside me. I cried because of
the internal struggle that Jenna went through with her disorder. I work in the
health care field and I’ve taken multiple psychology classes and I always
question what a person like that could be going through and my heart goes out
to them. Could only imagine the emotions that E.L. went through while writing
this book, because damn it, I cried so much and my heart hurt so badly. Jenna
was living in a world that was dark until Logan came into the picture. He
opened up her eyes and helped her to feel alive again. Even though this book
had a lot of seriousness to it, there were a lot of times that you will laugh.
I really think every girl needs a friend like Charlie, she was fun loving and
she was very supportive of Jenna, she had her back through thick and thin and she
never made her feel fragile or like she was “human.” Then we have the sub
characters, one of my favorites was Santino, he brought a certain comedic twist
to the story. I am still until this day stunned from the writing and the time
that E.L took to write such a gripping, riveting, book for her readers to
enjoy. This have been one book that I have recommended over and over to a
couple of my co-workers, it’s one book that is a most, if you haven’t read it
yet grab a copy instantaneously and get your money’s worth.
