I’ve always been good at wearing masks. Not letting anyone see the real me. I’m content being the happy-go-lucky best friend. The strong willed boss. The independent woman who doesn’t need a man.
But the truth is I’m just as broken as the rest of you. I’m terrified that all it will take is one person to make all my carefully constructed walls crumble into fine dust. So I guard my heart with everything I have. Determined to never let anyone get close enough to hurt me again.
All is perfect until HE walks into my life. No… he doesn’t just walk. He struts his good-looking, sex-oozing self-right into my space and demands that I see HIM. Making me want what I know I can’t have.
So I did the only thing I know how to do.
I run.
But he just won’t let me go.

~About Author~
Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her
hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house
they dubbed 'Estrogen Ocean', much to her husband’s chagrin. Harper has a
borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with
her ereader attached. As an ex-reviewer and blogger, Harper's passion for
reading runs deep. It wasn't until 'Axel' decided to take up residence that she
realized her true calling.
She started using writing as a way to unwind when the house went
to sleep at night; and with a house full of crazy it was the perfect way to

~Review~
Harper “She’s the Shit” Sloan have done it again with
the book Beck. Let me tell you, I don’t
know how she does it but she gets the job done every single time. When you are
reading this book I am telling you now, you are, & I repeat, you are going
to lose sleep & you will probably need a little wine to go with it, &
also don’t forget the tissues. The thing that I love about the book “Beck” is
that not everything was peaches & cream; there were so many dark days with
Dee that I felt every emotion she was going through, but the thing is you knew
she will get through it one way or the other, and by other I mean with Beck.
Beck, Beck, Beck, damn he was such a sweetheart, when I read Axel & Cage I
wasn’t expecting Beck & Dee’s story to turn out the way it did, another
surprise by Harper of course. Let me tell you, Harper through me for a fucking
loop with that one, I think I said “Holy fucking shit” & “What the fuck,
hell no” so many damn times when I was reading this book because I wasn’t
expecting one damn thing that was happening; expect the unexpected when you’re
reading folks. I seriously thought my facial expression will be frozen with my
mouth wide open, trust me when I say, you will never expect half of the things
that she’s written in this book. And of course you can expect the sex scenes to
be hot & the humor will be there as always.
Harper did an excellent job with writing Beck, the story line was
phenomenal, and the suspense & emotions will put franticly at your heart strings.
Great book, fan-fucking-tastic story line, writing at its best, and a
fan-tab-ulous thrill ride.
